IBH-Export BV was founded in 1996 through a collision between Helmut Bung and current CEO, Christian Linden, that started its business operations in a small plant of 1.000m2 in De Kwakel. With back then only a turnover of EUR 2.5 million, IBH-Export began with selling and exporting Dutch pot plants to Austria and Scandinavia. Even though the first location at the start of IBH-Export was relatively outside of the Flower Auction area, IBH managed to increase their sales and expand their business to other nations.
Expanding means growing, and so did the facilities. By 2001, IBH-Export acquired a new operating plant within the Royal Flora Holland auction area, which is still its current operating location and includes a 14.000 m2 capacity. This success increased selling and processing volumes, as well as our hopes and future aspirations.
These aspirations have developed themselves into expanding IBH-Export outside of the Dutch borders. Initiated with IBH-Germany, followed by IBH Finland and recently also active as IBH-Sweden and IBH-Kenya.
